About Minecraft Enchantment Tool

We built this to help you plan your anvil work before you spend XP in your world. Just pick your item and the enchantments you want, and it'll give you a clear order for combining everything—so you can see the costs, spot any conflicts, and decide your next move without guessing.

What we're trying to do

The goal is pretty straightforward: make it easier to figure out your enchantment plan before you commit resources. The calculator doesn't just spit out an answer—it also explains why that order makes sense, what assumptions it's using, and where you should double-check things in your own game (whether you're on Java or Bedrock).

This is for survival players, techy folks, server teams, or anyone writing guides—basically anyone who wants a less stressful way to think about anvil costs, prior work penalties, compatible enchantments, and saving your build ideas.

A quick note on Mojang and Microsoft

This is a fan-made tool, plain and simple. We're not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Mojang or Microsoft in any way. We only reference Minecraft names and mechanics so you can understand what the calculator is doing. For anything official—like game rules, account issues, purchases, or support—you'll need to go to Mojang or Microsoft directly.

Keeping it up to date

We maintain this as a practical reference, not an official rulebook. When Minecraft updates change how enchantments work, or tweak anvil behavior, we aim to review and update the relevant parts with clear notes.

That said, editions, snapshots, datapacks, and multiplayer servers can all behave differently. So no matter what the tool says, always verify your final build inside the actual game environment you're playing in.
